The Musical Experience

My name is Teresa Collier. I am a nursing major from Charlotte, NC. While I have dabbled with many different instruments, I have been playing the piano since I was seven years old. Playing piano has always been one of my favorite pastimes and is what gave me an appreciation for music. I love to play anything from classical to ragtime to Broadway showtunes. I enjoy singing, mostly classical and showtunes, and I have been a part of many choirs and theatre productions. Apart from these activities, I also enjoy pursuing my passion for skiing, which I try to do with my family in the winter whenever our schedules will allow. I have two sisters, Katie, 31, and Caroline, 18 and two dogs, Sophie, a flat-coat retriever (pictured right), and Dory, a golden retriever.

 

I have always loved history and exploring different cultures, and music is a huge part of both. I enjoy listening to music from all over the world, from Europe to Africa. Some of my favorite artists are Frank Sinatra, Patsy Cline, Three Dog Night, Van Morrison, and NEEDTOBREATHE.
